About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Industrial Plastics & Paints. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting the right products for their unique projects, and promoting our wide range of industrial plastics, paints, and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to customers in selecting the best product solutions for their projects
  • Operate cash register and process cash, cheque, and credit/debit card payments
  • Experience with safely using woodworking hand tools, including table saw, skill saw, drill press, and router
  • Hold a Forklift License and operate a forklift to load and unload deliveries
  • Provide cost estimates on materials and suggest alternative products to customers
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to resolve customer issues
Requirements
  • Oral Communication in English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Ability to work in a team setting or alone with minimal supervision
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to be task-efficient and organized
