KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the effective management of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring that both quality and service standards are consistently met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading pre-shift briefings to update staff on daily events and specials.
  • Ensuring that all preparatory work is completed and that dining areas are properly set up.
  • Overseeing the presentation of food items and buffets to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Supervising daily operations in the dining and beverage areas, including the restaurant, bar, and room service, to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Ensuring compliance with brand and hotel standards.
  • Managing staff schedules based on operational forecasts and monitoring attendance.
  • Training and guiding employees in their roles.
  • Participating in the recruitment and development of team members.
  • Providing feedback on employee performance to support their professional growth.
  • Reporting any incidents or issues that may disrupt service or guest experience.
  • Maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality and addressing guest complaints promptly.
  • Conducting monthly inventory checks and implementing measures to minimize losses.
  • Fostering open communication with all departments and team members.
  • Responding to guest requests efficiently and courteously.
  • Adhering to budgetary guidelines in purchasing decisions to maximize profitability.
  • Assisting in the formulation of short-term operational plans that align with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborating with the Food and Beverage Manager to promote our services effectively.
  • Taking on Manager on Duty responsibilities as needed.
  • Upholding a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Food and Beverage or Hospitality is advantageous.
  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to training and team development.
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve issues effectively.
  • Certification in responsible liquor service and sales is required.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
  • Knowledgeable about current food and beverage trends.
  • Capable of leading the team and providing clear direction.
  • Flexible availability for various shifts, including weekends.
