Senior Technical Project Manager

CB Canada is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee a variety of simultaneous IT infrastructure initiatives within the Project Services and Technology Services sectors.

Role Overview:

  • The Senior Technical Project Manager will spearhead and coordinate all facets of IT infrastructure projects executed by the Project Services division, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of project outcomes as outlined in the project roadmap.
  • This position entails monitoring and managing project deliverables, timelines, financial resources, and quality assurance.
  • Management of project assets, including network infrastructure, data storage solutions, server virtualization, and database services, as dictated by the scope of the assigned projects.
  • Development of comprehensive project plans, timelines, and action strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Implementation of project plans in accordance with established project management methodologies to guarantee the successful and synchronized completion of project elements.
  • Monitoring project advancement in line with the project roadmap, providing updates on project status and addressing any significant challenges encountered.
  • Engagement with stakeholders as necessary to ensure preparedness for project execution.
  • Preparation of project change requests for any modifications in scope, timelines, and financial allocations.
  • Review and endorsement of IT infrastructure project deliverables and documentation, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
  • Creation and distribution of regular project status updates and participation in routine client project status meetings.
  • Leading the proposal development process for IT infrastructure projects of varying complexities, costs, and impacts, collaborating internally and with other Technology Services teams to finalize project proposals, leveraging expertise in proposal management, development, problem-solving, estimation, tracking, reporting, client engagement, and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Collaboration with Solution Architects and other Technology Services personnel to assess technology feasibility, constraints, and requirements; translating technical solutions into clear and comprehensible language for proposals.
  • Management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders regarding the proposal development and approval process.
  • Reviewing and discussing all proposal components with clients to confirm requirements; addressing inquiries and clarifying the rationale behind resource estimates, infrastructure options, and solutions, including limitations, and revising project proposals based on client feedback.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of project management experience overseeing a variety of IT infrastructure projects (servers, storage, networking) within large, outsourced IT service delivery organizations.
  • A collaborative team player with respect for organizational hierarchy.
  • A meticulous approach to data-driven project deliverables.
  • Strong financial management capabilities.
  • Training and experience in best practice project management methodologies.
  • Experience leading a diverse team of technical professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.

Contract Duration:

6-month contract with potential for extensions.
