About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Excellence Lead to join our team at Houle. This is a key leadership position that oversees all company projects and ensures adherence to project management best practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a culture of collaboration and trust across all Houle operating units.
- Drive corporate policy compliance, particularly around project management and estimating.
- Conduct internal training and assessments to ensure project managers and estimators have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Standardize and align best practices across Houle operating units.
- Train and mentor project managers with job status reports and other reports.
- Monitor and manage compliance with estimating and project management policies.
- Review project management policies and processes for relevance and need for improvement.
- Contribute to aligning purpose, values, direction, and standards across Houle by supporting and mentoring project managers and estimators in conjunction with the leadership group.
- Mark project manager assessment surveys and review results with managers and employees.
- Assist or observe estimate and technical reviews when requested by the operational manager or chief estimator.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry best practices, trends, regulations, and risks.
- Approximately 20% travel to local branches (most is day travel).
- Other related duties as required.
Your Experience and Skills
- 15+ years of experience working in project management and estimating electrical work in a construction or contracting environment with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Exceptional knowledge of project management best practices.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop others.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accubid.
- Must be a team player with good interpersonal and English communication skills.

Salary Range: $110,000 to $150,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
