Senior Technical Project Manager
CB Canada is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee multiple simultaneous IT infrastructure initiatives within our Project Services and Technology Services Department.
Role Overview:
- The Senior Technical Project Manager will spearhead and synchronize all facets of IT infrastructure projects managed by the Project Services department, ensuring that all deliverables are achieved within the designated timeline and budget as outlined in the project blueprint.
- This position entails monitoring and managing project deliverables, timelines, financial resources, and quality standards.
- Management of project resources will include network infrastructure, data storage, server/virtualization, and database services, tailored to the specific requirements of the assigned projects.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, timelines, and action strategies to yield project deliverables.
- Implements project plans in accordance with established project management methodologies to guarantee the successful and coordinated execution of project elements.
- Monitors project advancement in alignment with the project plan and provides updates on project status and any significant challenges encountered.
- Engages with stakeholders as necessary to ensure preparedness for project execution.
- Prepares project change requests for any alterations in scope, schedule, or budget.
- Reviews and approves IT infrastructure project deliverables and artifacts, ensuring they meet accuracy and completeness standards.
- Generates and disseminates regular project status reports and leads or participates in routine client project status meetings.
- Facilitates the development process for IT infrastructure project proposals of varying complexities, costs, and impacts, collaborating internally with team members and other Technology Services groups to finalize the proposal process.
- Works alongside Solution Architects and other Technology Services resources to assess technology feasibility, constraints, and requirements; translates technical solutions into clear and comprehensible language for proposals.
- Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal development and approval process.
- Conducts reviews and discussions regarding all proposal components with clients, confirming requirements and addressing inquiries, while explaining the rationale behind resource estimates and technology options, making adjustments to the project proposal based on client feedback.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of project management experience overseeing a variety of IT infrastructure projects within large, outsourced IT service delivery organizations.
- A collaborative team player with respect for organizational hierarchy.
- A meticulous approach to data-driven project deliverables.
- Proficient in budget management.
- Trained in and experienced with best practice project management techniques and processes.
- Experience leading a diverse team of technical professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- PMP certification is preferred.
Contract Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extensions.
