Senior Technical Project Manager
CB Canada is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee multiple simultaneous IT infrastructure initiatives within their Project Services and Technology Services Division.
Role Overview:
- The Senior Technical Project Manager will direct and synchronize all facets of IT infrastructure projects managed by the Project Services team, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery as outlined in the project roadmap.
- This position entails monitoring and managing project outputs, timelines, financials, and quality assurance.
- Responsible for the management of project resources, including network infrastructure, data storage, server/virtualization, and database services, tailored to the scope of assigned projects.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, timelines, and action strategies to achieve project objectives.
- Implements project plans following established project management methodologies to guarantee the successful and cohesive completion of project elements.
- Monitors project advancement in line with the project roadmap and provides updates on project status and any significant challenges encountered.
- Engages with stakeholders as necessary to ensure readiness for project execution.
- Prepares project change requests for any alterations in scope, timeline, and budget.
- Reviews and approves IT infrastructure project deliverables and documentation, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
- Generates and disseminates regular project status reports and leads/participates in routine client project status meetings.
- Facilitates the development process for IT infrastructure project proposals of varying complexities, costs, and impacts, collaborating internally and with other Technology Services teams to finalize the proposal process.
- Works alongside Solution Architects and other Technology Services personnel to assess technology feasibility, constraints, and requirements; translates technical solutions into clear, comprehensible language for proposals.
- Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal development and approval process.
- Reviews all components of the proposal with clients, confirming requirements and addressing inquiries while explaining the rationale behind resource estimates and technology options, adjusting the project proposal based on client feedback.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of project management experience overseeing a variety of IT infrastructure projects (servers, storage, networking) within large, outsourced IT service delivery organizations.
- A collaborative team player with respect for organizational hierarchy.
- A meticulous approach to data-driven project deliverables.
- Strong financial management capabilities.
- Proficient in best practice project management techniques and processes.
- Experience leading a diverse team of technical professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- PMP certification is preferred.
Contract Duration:
This is a 6-month contract with potential extensions.
