Job Overview

Join our team at Venture Carpets as an Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic. This is a permanent position offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. The primary language of work will be English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and maintain mechanical equipment.
  • Install and set up stationary industrial machinery.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess work requirements.
  • Repair or replace faulty machinery components.
  • Fabricate necessary parts during maintenance or setup activities.
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Operate machining tools for part fabrication.
  • Program and manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Qualifications

Applicants should possess an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification and have experience with:

  • Automated and robotic systems.
  • Electrical and electronic controls.
  • High-speed packaging equipment.
  • Industrial and stationary engines.
  • Power tools.
Specialization Areas
  • Start-up and testing procedures.
  • Shutdown operations.
  • Troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Handling bearings, seals, and packing.
  • Working with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Work Environment

Successful candidates will need to have their own transportation and be prepared for physical demands such as:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Standing for extended periods.
Personal Attributes

We are looking for a team player who is willing to relocate if necessary and has prior experience in this field.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
