Job Summary

Grace Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Lead the healthcare team in providing patient care and facilitating coordination of patient discharge.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Recent, related experience in emergency nursing is an asset.
  • Current Emergency nursing experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory employment record required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO) training Level 1 within 2 months of date of hire.
  • Remaining Level 2 and 3 training completed within 12 months of hire.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training at the Healthcare Provider level.
  • Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification for program area is an asset.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is an asset.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training is an asset.
  • Trauma Nursing Core course (TNCC) is an asset.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric course (ENPC) is an asset.
  • Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care (EPICC) Foundations course is an asset.
  • Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care (EPICC) Trauma course is an asset.

  • Proficiency with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
