Position Title: Critical Care Nurse

Position Overview: The Critical Care Nurse operates under the general oversight of the Program Team Manager, embodying the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of the organization. This role entails delivering professional nursing services to patients, particularly those with intricate and unpredictable health conditions. Responsibilities include:
- Providing independent nursing care and administering prescribed medical treatments.
- Assuming a leadership role within the healthcare team.
- Coordinating patient care and facilitating discharge processes.
Experience Requirements: A postgraduate course in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nursing or equivalent ICU experience is essential.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Registered Nursing education program.
Licensure and Certification: Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) is mandatory. Active involvement in professional organizations, such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred. Additionally, annual Basic Life Support (BLS) Level C certification is required.
Qualifications and Skills: Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of the scope of practice as outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). Note that if no applicants meet the specified qualifications, the employer may consider candidates who do not fully meet these criteria.
