Credit Manager

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Credit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our credit department, you will be responsible for enhancing credit policy, procedures, and processes from origination to approval. You will also be responsible for managing the quality of the portfolio, approving and rejecting loans on sound credit principles, credit structuring, ensuring appropriate security, monitoring covenants, and reporting to the Executive Team and the Board.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Manage a team of credit analysts and officers to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Conduct credit risk assessments and make recommendations for loan approvals or rejections.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective credit management and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in commercial lending with a minimum of 2 years of retail mortgage lending experience with management responsibilities.
- Knowledge of commercial and retail lending policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Experience developing underwriting policies and establishing quality standards.
- Knowledge of collection procedures and current business practice laws.
