Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Care Coordinators
- Manage new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment
- Handle and assist in the management of confidential patient records
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain a substantial volume of patient data in the electronic system
- Respond to a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, directing calls as necessary
- Offer backup support to other roles as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in both written and spoken French is essential
- Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma
- At least 2 years of relevant office experience
- Strong keyboarding and data-entry skills
- Proficient in database software, MS Word, Excel, and other applications within a Windows environment
- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to work independently
- Advanced multitasking skills, with the capability to meet performance and service objectives
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and interact sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening
- Compliance with a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- A college diploma in health or social services, or business/office administration
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office administrative practices
- Understanding of services offered by Ontario Health atHome
