Social Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Social Worker at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing guidance, counseling, and support to individuals and communities in various social programs.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement social programs that address the needs of our clients, including design, guidance, counseling, and assessment.
- Client Support and Services: Provide support and services to clients, including coaching, training, and advocacy.
- Community Engagement: Engage with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to build relationships and promote our services.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience in social work, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Knowledge and Abilities: Strong knowledge of Cree culture, social/health issues, and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigms; excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational, and decision-making skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Language: Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
