POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of our Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping GreenShield's pharmacy strategy specifically for the Quebec market. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to client service and product innovation within our pharmacy benefit management division.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, fully bilingual pharmacist with a robust background in the private benefits sector, particularly within Quebec. You will be adept at engaging with various stakeholders across the pharmaceutical and benefits landscape, including plan sponsors, consultants, pharmacies, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Contributing expertise to the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, ensuring the Quebec perspective is considered in drug benefit evaluations.
  • Advising on formulary development and drug claims processing while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Supporting the pharmacy clinical services team in assessing drug prior authorization requests.
  • Overseeing the competitive positioning and management of pharmacy products tailored for the Quebec market.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for both existing and new pharmacy offerings.
  • Monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes that impact pharmacy benefits.
  • Engaging directly with clients to address inquiries related to drug and pharmacy services.
  • Collaborating with the client service team to meet client expectations effectively.
  • Developing and delivering presentations related to pharmacy benefits for various stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the creation of high-quality RFP responses for pharmacy offerings.
  • Representing GreenShield at industry conferences and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

We seek an exceptional individual who possesses both intellectual acumen and a compassionate approach to healthcare.

  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape and competitive dynamics surrounding prescription drugs and pharmacy benefits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  • Proven organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of making informed decisions independently.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • Valid pharmacist license in good standing in Quebec.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Background in the private benefits industry.
  • Familiarity with formulary review and health technology assessment.
