About the role

We're looking for a Bilingual (french-english) Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our Claims recruitment team.

As a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Consultant, your work will have a big impact on our business operations by recruiting top talent to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting for various lines of business. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our leaders and develop recruitment strategies to attract the best talent. While collaborating with the talent acquisition and broader human resources team, you will own the recruiting process and ensure a positive and seamless client and candidate experience.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:

  • Proactively develop, plan and deliver full life-cycle recruitment activities and innovative strategies to identify the best candidates, both active and passive
  • Create compelling job descriptions, post jobs, source passive candidates, pre-screen, interview and short list candidates, facilitate hiring manager interviews, and facilitate the background check and offer process
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with the business(s) you support, and be their trusted advisor for all things recruitment
  • Support and continuously recommend improvements to systems, processes and workflows
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives related to your businesses and support the development of strategies to promote Intact as a Canadian Top Employer
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior staff (coordinators, summer interns, etc.)
  • Stay current on recruitment trends by participating in industry events, webinars/conferences and seek other relevant learning opportunities
  • Provide updates and reporting to your business(s) on a regular basis
  • Act as an ambassador for Intact internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example through Intact' Success Factors
  • Attend student and company events outside of core office hours as required
  • Lead and participate in regional/national projects

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources or equivalent years of related industry experience required
  • 1 to 3 years of recruitment experience in a complex, corporate environment required
  • Bilingualism is mandatory (French and English) considering the necessity to process Talent Acquisition files with colleagues across the country
  • Systems knowledge within Workday is considered a strong asset
  • Insurance industry knowledge and experience considered an asset
  • Recruiting for 'experienced/professional hire' roles required
  • Previously demonstrated project management skills considered an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage relationships at all organizational levels
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-centric, dynamic individual with a sense of urgency
