About Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst, Investment Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our team at PSP Investments. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and preparing consolidated financial statements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Validating the accuracy of financial data in our accounting system and reconciling investment transaction journal entries to the general ledger
  • Calculating the net asset value of our Funds on a monthly basis
  • Preparing the monthly investment-related consolidated financial statements
  • Preparing the investment-related notes to the quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Preparing various financial management reports on a weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc basis
  • Ensuring reporting consistency between the financial statements, management reports, and information provided to investment groups
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and controls necessary for preparing the investment-related consolidated financial statements
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation of various departmental procedures
  • Assisting in departmental initiatives and special projects
What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, specializing in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or in the process of obtaining, an asset
  • A minimum of three (3) years of investment accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives and NAV calculation
  • Experience in preparing investment-related financial statements, an asset
  • Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension (SCD), an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and facility in learning new systems
  • Accountability and drive for results
  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis, and documentation
  • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
  • Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture
  • Bilingualism: English and French
