Job SummaryWe are seeking an Investment Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of financial data from investment accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities- Validate the accuracy of financial data in the accounting system and reconcile investment transaction journal entries to the general ledger
- Calculate the net asset value of funds on a monthly basis
- Prepare consolidated investment-related financial statements and notes for quarterly and annual reports
- Develop and maintain processes and controls necessary for preparing investment-related financial statements
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of various departmental procedures
- Assist in departmental initiatives and special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, specializing in Accounting or Finance
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) or in the process of obtaining, an asset
- A minimum of three (3) years of investment accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives and NAV calculation
- Experience in preparing investment-related financial statements, an asset
- Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension (SCD), an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and facility in learning new systems
- Accountability and drive for results
- Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis, and documentation
- Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
- Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture
- Bilingualism: English and French
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience
