Job Title: Wood Floor Installer

We are seeking a skilled Wood Floor Installer to join our team at Capital Floor Supply Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing hardwood floors, resilient flooring, and other types of flooring materials. This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Ability to work in various locations, including on-site customer service
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a dusty environment and handle heavy loads. The successful candidate will be required to work in various locations, including on-site customer service.
