About the Role

The Toronto Catholic District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Indigenous Education Equity Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting equity and inclusion in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote Indigenous education and equity in our schools
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community partners to create inclusive learning environments
  • Provide professional development and support to staff on Indigenous education and equity
  • Build relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations to promote mutual understanding and respect
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to Indigenous education and equity
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Education, Indigenous Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Indigenous education and equity
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful equity initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
