The Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at Toronto Metropolitan University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Developer to join our team as an Indigenous Pedagogies and Curriculum Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the development of innovative educational programs and services that promote Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and pedagogies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement professional development programs and resources that focus on Indigenous pedagogies, curriculum development, and anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and equity-focused practices.
- Provide expert advice and support to faculty, contract lecturers, and graduate students on Indigenous pedagogies and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver educational programs and services that promote Indigenous knowledge, perspectives, and pedagogies.
- Advocate for and create an institutional environment that supports teaching and learning excellence, particularly in the areas of Indigenous education and pedagogy.
- Master's degree in Indigenous Studies or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous pedagogies, curriculum development, and anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and equity-focused practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing professional development programs and resources, particularly in the areas of Indigenous education and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, and community members.
This is a hybrid position, with the majority of working hours spent on campus. The successful candidate will be expected to work regularly on campus and participate in various educational programs and services.
