Job Title: Senior Estimator

About the Role:

As a Senior Estimator at PCL Construction, you will play a critical role in the success of our construction projects. Your expertise in cost estimation and project management will enable us to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of contract documents to identify project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed project schedules, including critical path and completion timelines.
  • Lead the pricing and estimation process, ensuring that all costs are accurately accounted for and that projects are priced competitively.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop bid strategies and ensure that all necessary information is included in bid submissions.
  • Assist in client presentations and provide project updates to stakeholders.
  • Perform quantity, material, and labor take-offs to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Coordinate the tender development process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
  • Monitor project success criteria and provide solutions to ensure project success.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Gold Seal certification in estimating required.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in construction cost estimating.
  • Experience in leading pursuits valued up to $250 million.
  • Strong knowledge of bid preparation and contract terms.
  • Proven ability to lead successful teams.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
