PCL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Montreal. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Establish critical path schedules and completion timelines to meet contract completion dates.
- Complete quantity take-offs and lead pricing for general expenses and project-specific requirements.
- Assist in presenting estimates and proposals, and prepare client presentations.
- Perform quantity, material, and labor take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Document all estimate information and archive it for future reference.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analyses to identify potential issues.
- Liaise with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate project budget requirements.
- Monitor client project-specific success criteria and provide solutions to meet their needs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Gold Seal certification in estimating required.
- 12 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, with 12 months of onsite experience preferred.
- Successful experience leading pursuits valued up to $250 million in various delivery models.
- Experience with self-perform estimate and productivity understanding.
- Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, and potential problems.
- Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take-off procedures and trade contractor procurement.
- Ability to lead successful teams and develop productive working relationships with owners, peers, and industry representatives.
