Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Commercial Real Estate. As a key member of our Real Estate team, you will be responsible for business development and management of a portfolio of commercial real estate clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of real estate clients, providing lending solutions for low-rise and high-rise residential real estate projects, as well as income-producing real estate.
  • Deliver on financing requests, structuring bilateral and large, complex syndicated transactions, and maintaining responsibility for quality of credit underwriting.
  • Mentor and coach Associate Directors in deal structuring, negotiation skills, lending guidelines, policies, and risk appetite.
  • Proactively maintain the health and integrity of accounts from a portfolio quality management perspective.
  • Develop and maintain a strong external network in the real estate community, including lending syndicate partners, law firms, and cost consultants.
Requirements
  • Previous real estate lending experience, with a proven track record in sales and business development, and exceptional client relationship management.
  • Superior negotiation skills, supported by deep industry expertise, and excellent credit structuring and underwriting skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of programs and systems employed by the Bank.
  • Ongoing and consistent adoption of the Bank's goals and core values.
