About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef to join our team at Joe's Bistro. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and ensuring that our dishes are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, labour costs, and inventory levels
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menus
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and specialist chefs
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard
  • Manage the kitchen budget and make recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to ensure that the kitchen is running efficiently
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. The role will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
