Community Engagement Intern

Role FocusThis internship centers on engaging with stakeholders and facilitating communication for projects in the early stages of development, particularly those within interconnection queues. The role also extends support to initial development projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tailored engagement strategies for specific projects, including stakeholder lists and event planning.
- Coordinate landowner events and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the planning and materials for open houses and meetings.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of communication materials through various channels, including websites and social media.
- Track and report on engagement activities with diverse stakeholders, including landowners and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with project teams to align engagement efforts with project needs and priorities.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess:
- Strong skills in event coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within Canada.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a capacity to build relationships with various stakeholders.
