Insurance Account Representative - Mathew Smith - Desjardins Agent Intern

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Job Type: Full Time

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads, coordinate meetings, assess client requirements, and promote suitable products and services.
  • Deliver timely, precise, and courteous customer support. This includes addressing inquiries about insurance options, eligibility, coverage details, policy modifications, claims processing, and billing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the agent to set and achieve marketing objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in sales (including outside sales, inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing).
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and listening.
  • Proactive approach to problem resolution.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to present to prospective clients.
  • Property & Casualty license (preferred or must be obtained).
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.

Successful candidates will initially work with The Personal Insurance Company for training and licensing purposes. Upon successful completion, you may be considered for a position with an independent contractor Desjardins Agent.
