Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Manager to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As an Actuarial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of IFRS17 models, ensuring data accuracy and quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain IFRS17 models, including AXIS coding and data management
  • Collaborate with Corporate Actuarial colleagues to understand modelling requirements and ensure data accuracy
  • Work with technology and data teams to implement IFRS17 requirements and optimize data flow
  • Establish controls for data use in actuarial modelling and finance reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation exists for data processes
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in Moody's AXIS software
  • Excellent communication and technical skills, with ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Access, and other database or analytical software
  • Knowledge of SAS Solution for IFRS17 is an asset
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, or equivalent is considered an asset
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or other quantitative area of study
  • Working towards Fellowship with the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries
  • Minimum 5 years of Life & Health Insurance actuarial experience
  • Minimum 2 years of IFRS17 AXIS modelling experience
