Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

Prestressed Systems Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Health and Safety: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding work, and working in all weather conditions.
