Maintenance Worker - Building

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Strickland's. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building's systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain a safe and accessible environment
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Dependability, initiative and reliability are essential for this position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
