About the Role

RhynoCare Staffing is seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
  • Responsible for portion control of food items.
  • Ensure safety precautions are in place in assigned areas and report any incidents or concerns to management.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain accurate records of temperatures and quality control.
  • Deliver catering to assigned locations and assist with cleaning and preparation of food.
  • Clear plates and trays, load and operate dishwasher, and clean pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Participate in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food.
  • Responsible for checking and documenting temperatures and quality of food, and initiating corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment, utensils, and individual work areas.
  • Set up for catering events and assist with other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
  • Food Handlers Certification approved by Public Health Department.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and stat holidays.
  • Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting and stand for long periods of time.
  • Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).
  • Experience working in a kitchen or food service setting.
