Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Freba Mahmood. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their daily lives, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and mobility.
  • Change non-sterile dressings and provide wound care as needed.
  • Feed or assist clients with feeding, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition.
  • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Mend clothing and linens, extending the lifespan of essential items.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition.
  • Cook meals for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet the needs of clients.

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position with 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
  • Work language: English.
