Role Overview

The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing, managing, and overseeing project activities under the guidance of a Project Manager. This position involves collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Implement all project management systems, including safety protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and contracts.
  • Coordinate documentation and reporting for projects.
  • Manage administrative tasks and logistics, including tracking equipment and handling permit processes.
  • Support the project team with labor, equipment, and material management.
  • Oversee change orders and secure client approvals.
  • Maintain safety standards and conduct regular inspections.
  • Review construction plans to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and compile project documentation.
  • Address design challenges and promote a culture of safety.
  • Encourage open communication and teamwork among project teams.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Up to 7 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction.
  • A technical diploma in a construction-related field (CET) or equivalent experience is required.
  • A degree in Construction or Engineering is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a Project Coordinator role.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and field drawings.
  • First aid certifications are advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
