About the Role
The position of Health and Safety Field Consultant is a field-based role with Peninsula Business Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice, support, and solutions to our clients in the Ottawa and surrounding areas. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to clients, including risk assessments, policy development, and training.
- Conduct site visits to assess client health and safety practices and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Liaise with government officials and other third parties on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations and best practices, ensuring our clients receive the most current and accurate information.
- Collaborate with our health and safety advice team to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulations.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a field-based role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
