Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Field Consultant to join our team in Ottawa. As a Field Consultant, you will provide expert advice, support, and solutions to our clients in the Ottawa area, ensuring their compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support to clients on health and safety matters, including conducting site visits and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with our health and safety advice team to ensure consistency and accuracy in our advice and recommendations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks and improving health and safety performance.
- Develop and implement health and safety training programs for clients, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations, ensuring our clients are aware of their obligations and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in a field-based role.
- CRST/CRSP certification is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Class G Driver's license.
