Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Sawridge Edmonton South in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a key member of our hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Housekeeping Staff: Oversee the daily activities of our housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Inspect and Monitor Quality Standards: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that our quality standards are being met.
  • Manage Housekeeping Operations: Coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, including the preparation of rooms for arrival and departure.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Work closely with our front desk and guest services teams to ensure that all guest requests are met and that our guests have a positive experience.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to our housekeeping staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Manage Housekeeping Budget: Oversee the housekeeping budget, ensuring that we are operating within our means and that our costs are under control.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of three years' experience in housekeeping management, with a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire our housekeeping staff.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that our quality standards are being met.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to lift up to 15 pounds, push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
