Director of Operations

As a key member of the Fantasyland Hotel leadership team, the Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn. This position requires a seasoned hospitality professional with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to various management teams, including Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage departments.
  2. Develop and implement operational standards, quality assurance protocols, and guest satisfaction initiatives to drive business results.
  3. Take a hands-on approach to support hotel departments, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  4. Lead by example, demonstrating a customer-centric approach and setting the standard for hospitality service excellence.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to security, human resources, and IT standards and protocols.
  6. Review financial reports and documentation to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.
Requirements:
  1. A minimum of seven (7) - ten (10) years of experience in senior hotel management roles in high-end properties.
  2. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality and Management or a related field.
  3. Outstanding leadership, team building, communication, and organizational skills.
  4. Strong financial and revenue management expertise, with a solid understanding of hotel operations.
  5. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with a focus on creating a quality hotel experience.
Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position qualifies for the 4-day workweek program and requires a basic security clearance.
