Director of Operations

The Director of Operations at Fantasyland Hotel is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational activities of the hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn. This position requires a high level of expertise in hotel management, leadership, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop operational strategies to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high-quality services.
  • Provide guidance and support to management teams in various departments, including Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage.
  • Develop and implement operational standards, quality assurance inspections, and guest satisfaction programs.
  • Take a hands-on approach to assist hotel departments and ensure smooth operations in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating customer service excellence and setting the standard for hospitality service.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to hotel security, human resources, and IT standards.
  • Review financial reports and documentation to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in senior hotel management positions in large volume high-end hotels or resorts.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality and Management or a related field.
  • Outstanding leadership, team building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong financial and revenue management experience, with a working knowledge of Hotel Rooms Division and Food and Beverage operations.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Terms of Employment:

  • This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • This is a salaried position, dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • This position qualifies for the 4-day workweek program.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
