About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Worker to join our team at 2492309 Ontario Limited. As a Farm Worker, you will play a critical role in the production and harvesting of vegetables on our farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vegetable and Fruit Grading: Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain greenhouses to ensure optimal growing conditions for our crops.
  • Hand Harvesting: Harvest vegetables by hand to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Plant Care: Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts from plants to promote healthy growth.
  • Plant Support: Tie and secure plants to trellises or stakes to support their growth.
  • Cleanliness: Clean the work area to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Crop Cutting: Cut horticultural crops at the optimal time to ensure quality and freshness.
Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience: Experience in farm work is an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Work Schedule: 40 to 60 hours per week, depending on the season and crop demands.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
