The Department of Construction Engineering offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition to undergraduate studies in construction management and engineering, we provide graduate programs in environmental engineering, urban engineering, construction project management, infrastructure, and more.
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a candidate with a foundational background in engineering, particularly in civil or construction engineering. The ideal applicant will possess:
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in the construction sector, either in Canada or through comparable international experience.
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Construction and productivity methodologies
- Performance and control of construction projects
- Advanced planning techniques for building and infrastructure projects
- Quality management and control in construction
- Risk analysis in construction project management
As a member of our research team, you will:
- Teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels related to building mechanics.
- Mentor graduate students.
- Engage in funded, interdisciplinary research projects with local, national, and international collaborators.
- Develop a robust research program and publish scientific articles.
- Hold or be nearing completion of a Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering or applied sciences relevant to this position.
- Demonstrate experience in collaborative research with industry or substantial experience in industrial R&D.
- Exhibit strong skills in training highly qualified personnel through research and teaching.
Proficiency in French (both oral and written) is required, in accordance with ÉTS Language Policy, or a willingness to learn French with the support of ÉTS.
