We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Technology Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our construction technology team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of our virtual design and construction (VDC) processes.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement VDC strategies to improve construction efficiency and quality.
- Lead the setup and management of digital workflows, including the coordination and management of trade detailing and design deliverables.
- Collaborate with design teams and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of VDC processes.
- Participate in project interviews and proposal writing to recommend scopes that VDC tools and processes can be incorporated into the project.
- Develop and maintain BIM execution plans and ensure their incorporation into design or subcontract agreements.
- Oversee the allocation of VDC resources and ensure the quality of virtual construction models from design and trade partners.
- Bachelor's degree in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural).
- 11 to 15 years of construction-related industry experience, including 5 to 6 years of VDC-related experience.
- Expert understanding of construction sequences and advanced knowledge of the building construction process.
- Advanced ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications and translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4D Building Information Model.
- Experience with 4D scheduling software and planning tools.
