Your Role: Web Development Student

As a Web Developer Student, you'll be an integral part of the dynamic Web Initiatives Team. You'll collaborate with developers, designers, and content specialists in an agile environment to enhance the usability and functionality of the Bank's web applications and websites.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative web-based products.
  • Write clean, efficient code in PHP and JavaScript for both front-end and back-end development.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, sharing ideas and contributing to process improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with PHP, particularly WordPress site development, themes, and plugins.
  • Proficiency in CSS and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with web frameworks and libraries such as Laravel.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL.
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Knowledge of automated testing using PHPUnit, Behat, and Selenium.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like SVN and Git.

Education & Experience:

You must be currently enrolled in a co-op program at a college or university (undergraduate level) pursuing a degree in computer studies, engineering, web development, or a related field. You should also be returning to school for the next academic term.
