About the Role

BrainStation, a global leader in digital skills training and workforce transformation, is seeking a Senior Web Developer to lead the delivery of our 12-week Web Development Diploma program. As a key member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to teach, research, and develop applications, making yourself the most well-rounded and informed developer in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor students in our 12-week Web Development Diploma program, providing expert technical guidance and support.
  • Co-create and deliver lectures on cutting-edge web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node/Express, and databases.
  • Apply Agile Education methodologies to continuously improve the educational experience for students.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and technologies to ensure our program remains relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with other BrainStation Educators to build digital platforms and tools needed to deliver educational material.
  • Define and implement the education experience of the future, aligning with BrainStation's mission and values.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a web engineering role, with a strong background in core web technologies.
  • Deep expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with React, Node/Express, and databases.
  • Strong public speaking and teaching abilities, with experience mentoring others.
  • A self-motivated, empathetic, and approachable demeanor, with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A strong work ethic, with utmost integrity and a desire to excel and succeed.
  • A sincere passion for education and creating positive learning experiences for others.
