Role Overview:

This multifaceted position encompasses a variety of responsibilities in compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations, internal policies, and standards governing pharmacy practice.

Dispensary Operations:

The pharmacist will oversee the execution and distribution of medications for various healthcare facilities and programs we support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and processing all medication orders efficiently.
  • Ensuring optimal pharmacy operations to enhance patient care.
  • Accurately packaging and dispensing prescriptions in a timely manner.
  • Providing consultation and advice to key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting pharmacy team members through training and mentorship.

The pharmacist will also ensure seamless care for clients by collaborating with onsite healthcare providers.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Delivering clinical pharmacy services in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Working alongside nursing staff to optimize patient health outcomes.
  • Conducting medication reviews and reconciliations as necessary.
  • Establishing collaborative networks with healthcare professionals.
  • Providing educational sessions as required.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with patients and their families.
  • Supporting operational activities through coordinated service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy with valid licensure.
  • Additional Prescribing Authority or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid Injection Certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
