Role Overview:

This hybrid position encompasses a range of responsibilities aligned with provincial and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Dispensary Fulfillment Responsibilities:

The pharmacist will oversee the preparation and distribution of medications for various healthcare facilities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and processing all medication orders efficiently.
  • Ensuring smooth pharmacy operations to optimize patient care.
  • Accurately packaging and dispensing prescriptions in a timely manner.
  • Providing consultation and support to healthcare professionals.
  • Training and mentoring pharmacy staff as necessary.

Clinical Pharmacy Services:

The pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care for clients in various living communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering clinical pharmacy services in accordance with established standards and regulations.
  • Working closely with nursing staff to enhance patient health outcomes.
  • Conducting medication reviews and reconciliations as required.
  • Building collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Providing educational sessions as needed.
  • Adhering to internal policies set by the Clinical Division.
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Supporting operational activities through coordinated service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy with valid licensure.
  • Willingness to obtain Additional Prescribing Authority and Injection Certification.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and database management.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment.
