About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Coordinator to join our team at Prodigy Group. As an Estimating Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project bids and tenders, utilizing your industry-based experience to provide unique and strategic insight into competitive bidding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the estimating team in preparing project bids and tenders
  • Maintain effective relationships with specialty subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups
  • Research historical tendering and award data, compiling information in an organized and clear format for team reference
  • Research data on construction industry labor and material cost trends
  • Update and maintain Tender/Supplier lists according to project and company requirements
  • Provide preliminary search efforts and alert the Chief Estimator/Director, Pre-Construction of bid opportunities
  • Assist in the bid/proposal process, ensuring that new project documents are uploaded and distributed, subcontractors/suppliers are called, and bid intent is tracked
  • Draft Meeting Minutes for internal Estimating Team meetings
  • Assist with preparing estimate/bid documentation, including project-specific tender bidder's lists and drafting and sending Invitation to Bid to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Provide various administrative support, including photocopying, printing, and assembling packaging documents
Requirements
  • Diploma of Collegial Studies or equivalent
  • General experience using MS Office Suite, On-Screen Take Off, Bluebeam/Adobe, MS Project, and Procore
  • Local experience in estimating as a general contractor and/or construction manager is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Exceptionally strong, professional, positive, effective, clear written and verbal communication skills
