Bicycle Repair Shop Supervisor Job Description

Vélo iBike is seeking a skilled and experienced Bicycle Repair Shop Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our bicycle repair shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop runs efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of our bicycle repair technicians to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of our shop equipment and tools to ensure that they are in good working order.
  • Estimate costs and materials for repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed in the shop.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, training, and disciplinary measures.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Lead and instruct individuals to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Organized and reliable.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty, and the work setting involves inspection, maintenance, repair, and shopwork. The tasks are varied and require a high level of attention to detail.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

Familiarity with business management software is an asset.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The work conditions and physical capabilities required for this role include manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
