As a Lead Talent Acquisition Strategist, you will step into a pivotal role during a period of remarkable growth for VIA Science. Your expertise will be essential in shaping and executing a comprehensive recruitment strategy.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and overseeing a superior recruitment process from start to finish. Your ability to manage stakeholder relationships, navigate through uncertainties, and connect exceptional talent with exciting roles will be crucial in this position. Collaborating closely with our People and Operations team, you will have numerous opportunities to influence VIA Science's growth trajectory through effective recruitment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle for our candidate pipeline, which encompasses:
    • Leading the recruitment process for both technical and non-technical roles
    • Ensuring an outstanding candidate experience
    • Designing and implementing targeted sourcing strategies to attract top talent
    • Collaborating with hiring teams to assess needs, provide support throughout the recruitment journey, coordinate interviews, and suggest improvements to the process
  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies that align with VIA Science's culture and hiring requirements
  • Promote equitable recruitment practices through the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Work with the People and Operations team to enhance the onboarding experience for new hires

Employer Branding:

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine our employer branding strategy in targeted markets
    • Research and coordinate relevant public relations opportunities related to recruitment and team initiatives
    • Encourage VIA Science's engagement with local community initiatives and candidate groups

Qualifications:

What you will bring to this role:

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a significant advantage
  • A minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience in a dynamic technical setting
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices
    • Expertise in recruitment and onboarding methodologies
    • Experience in leading both virtual and in-person recruitment events
  • Experience in internal recruitment within a scaling organization is highly desirable
  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with HRIS or ATS systems
  • Knowledge of the local recruitment landscape, including talent sources and compensation structures
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Experience with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, BambooHR, and Workable is a plus
  • A sense of humor and a passion for developing high-performing teams
