We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Deep River area. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional nursing care in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours, and to 'float' between units as needed.
  • Reliability in accepting and adhering to scheduled shifts.
  • Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
