Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Deep River & District Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Patient Care: Practice as a member of the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional nursing care and education to patients and their families.
  • Adhere to Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Support Organizational Mission and Values: Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission, vision, and values by providing excellent patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management, which may include participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Registration and Certification: Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse, and be a member in good standing.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent education and relevant experience in an acute care setting.
  • Certifications and Training: Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and 12 Lead ECG Interpretation Course or equivalent. CTAS Course and TNCC and PALS certification preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge and application of the College of Nurses standards of practice, ability to perform well in critical and high-stress situations, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Pediatric Assessment and Care: Experience in pediatric assessment and care, leading interdisciplinary teams, and promoting patient safety.
  • Computer Literacy and Electronic Documentation: Proficiency in electronic documentation and computer literacy.
  • Commitment to Patient Safety: Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to DRDH standards of behavior.
