Senior Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead structural design team to achieve project successful delivery
* Coordinate structural design and construction with other disciplines
* Conduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documents
* Identify possible construction structural deficiencies, provide remedial options
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering
* Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
* 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on industrial projects
* Fluency in French and English (written and oral); able to prepare reports and correspondence independently
* Proven experience with complete design of projects including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for complex industrial projects
* In-depth knowledge of building codes including NBCC, Quebec Construction Code and CSA standards
* Proficient in structural analysis software including SAP, ETABS, SAFE, RAM-Structural, S-Concrete, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Acrobat/Bluebeam
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare reports and correspondence independently
* A valid driver's license and able to travel to project site to conduct site review
* Ability to confidently relate with all levels of staff and clientele - Internal and External
