Senior Structural Engineer - Arup Montreal Office
Arup is a worldwide organization committed to sustainable development, uniting a team of designers, consultants, and specialists globally. Our Montreal office is in search of a senior structural engineer to become part of our Civil and Water engineering division. The chosen candidate will also serve as the design manager for our diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the design of critical components of large-scale infrastructure initiatives, including utilities, water mains, and drainage systems.
- Manage smaller projects such as civil engineering design for recreational areas or site development planning.
- Support the growth and development of junior team members and interns.
- Collaborate with various disciplines to ensure a comprehensive approach to design.
- Take ownership of delivering client outputs.
- Assist project managers with daily project activities.
- Engage in discussions with clients and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals.
- Prepare reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver technical presentations to diverse audiences.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
- Participate in local professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed engineer with the OIQ.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Capability to work under pressure and effectively manage priorities.
- Experience with AFP/P3 delivery models is advantageous.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role in Montreal is $93,000 - $115,000 annually. Arup offers benefits that include health and welfare security for you and your family. Additionally, employees can engage in the Global Profit Share Plan and GRRSP 5% company match for retirement savings.
